Having completed her Bachelor’s in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, Samia’s undergraduate studies emphasized rigorous mathematical foundations, covering areas like differential calculus, optimal control theory, and real analysis. Additionally, three consecutive Econometrics courses have enabled her to obtain a sound understanding of regression analysis on time-series and panel data, alongside causal inference.

She started her journey in research as an intern at SANEM, a renowned research organization in Bangladesh, and later progressed to work on government projects where she handled large primary datasets independently, and conducted CBAs, multivariate regression, logistic regression, ANOVA, ANCOVA etc.

In the long-run, she envisages becoming an academic-researcher with her own Experimental Economics Lab in Bangladesh, which will perform contextual research on developing countries’ growth trajectory.
