Tunde Omilola is a Nigerian economist committed to advancing inclusive development through public finance and industrial policy. Raised in a rural farming village, he became the first in his community to earn a university degree. He holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Lagos and is currently pursuing the MIT MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy. As a Research Economist at the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, he leads research on SME finance, tax policy, and industrial growth. Tunde aims to pursue a PhD in Economics focused on SME development as a pathway to job creation and poverty reduction, and to establish a rural-focused research centre to inform policies that address rural economic challenges.
